Born to Ghanaian immigrants in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Tema, Ghana, I have been uniquely blessed to be nurtured by two very different environments: one that puts a major focus on individuality and another on community. These hands have had a huge impact in every step of my growth and development. 

I was driven to the sciences throughout my life but the intense pull for creativity became stronger in my adult life where it drove me to seek out contemporary works of art I love, comic books and utilize poetry as a form of release therapy more frequently, giving life a gentle balance between the unpredictable creativity and excitement from art and the logic and rationality of science in the biotech or pharmaceutical world.
